# Silly Machine: Advancing Social Justice through Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence
## Overview
Welcome to the repository of Silly Machine, a non-profit organization established by Brazilian researchers. Our organization is dedicated to harnessing the capabilities of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to combat social injustice. This repository encompasses the source code, data, and documentation pertaining to our projects, which are designed to tackle pressing societal challenges by utilizing state-of-the-art technology.You can visit our page on [GitHub](https://github.com/Silly-Machine) as well. Feel free to explore!
## TuPy Project
The Tupy project, spearheaded by [Felipe Oliveira](https://github.com/FelipeRamosOliveira), aims to develop machine learning models specifically designed to identify hate speech in Portuguese. These models are trained using data sourced from social networks, focusing on addressing the challenges posed by virtual violence.The TuPy project contains the following components:
* [Classification APIs](https://huggingface.co/collections/Silly-Machine/classification-apis-661a968dc153e4a0a2fa1690)
* [Hate speech models](https://huggingface.co/collections/Silly-Machine/hate-speech-classifiers-658eebe8cdc0c4099b1103cb)
* [Hate speech datasets](https://huggingface.co/collections/Silly-Machine/hate-speech-datasets-658eec57674349122cf7aa79)
TuPy is the culmination of collaborative and diverse efforts. In gratitude, I extend this note, acknowledging the contributions of all involved, even those unfamiliar with Hugging Face. This project receives support from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro ([UFRJ](https://ufrj.br/))
through the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research in Engineering ([COPPE](https://coppe.ufrj.br/)).
